Morning routine for the successful business person

A business person has a unique habit because the way they start their morning determines how their business flourishes.

Don’t just take my word for it, there are real scientific benefits of a morning routine and research has shown that routine in general is beneficial for mental health and productivity levels.

If we check some of the successful business people, you will hardly find them in bed snoring for no reason in the morning. Most of them never wait for their alarm to ring before they jump up from bed. They wake up early and start their day off hand. This is because they value time and they never joke with it.

Even though their morning routines differ, they’re consistent, which is quite common among them.

Routine consistency

We all know that waking up early and being consistent is not a day job. But it’s possible and achievable by adding one habit one at a time. Before you know it, it will become part of you. You’re on your way to being more productive than you’re now. This is because whatever you do constantly and consistently, you become very good at it.

Pray and meditate on the word of God

The first thing you should do each morning is to pray and do meditation. This will help keep your day productive as well as give meaning to what we’re doing during our work hours, since it’s not just about making money for someone else but instead serving others through giving all that has been blessed by God!

It’s good to commit your day to God’s hand. He will direct you and make your day more prosperous. That’s what I do every day as part of my morning routine, give it a try and you will definitely see the difference.

Learn to wake up early

There are lots of advantages when you wake up early. You will have enough time to relax and get your things done without stress. It actually helps you to remain fresh and be more productive than others. Do you know that when you wake early, you like to avoid some mistakes that are common to others?

It helps also you to stay focused.

There is a great difference in productivity for these two scenarios. Mr. A has to start work at 7 am and is always woken up at 6.30 am, he has only 30 minutes to hurry up and get to work. While Mr. B starts the same at 7 am and wakes up at 5.30, he has almost 1 and a half hours to get ready to work. Their daily productivity can never be the same. So waking up early promotes productivity, greater achievement, and of course improves your health.

I understand that waking up naturally early in the morning is not easy but setting an alarm can be of help.

Drink a glass of water

It’s natural to dehydrate at night because many people don’t like to wake up and drink water at night. When we have a sound sleep for good 8 hours, our body needs water. So it is very essential for us to dehydrate our system again.

That’s what I do every morning immediately when I open my eyes.

Water is essential for cell function, and dehydration can lead to reduced energy levels and brain function, which is not what we need for productivity and success.

So I encourage you to drink water as early as possible every morning. It has become my habit to have a bottle of water at my bedside always, even sometimes when I suddenly wake up in the middle of the night, I like to drink water.

Do you know that you will get instantly refreshed when you drink water early in the morning? not to talk of the energy you get when you’re tired.

It helps to improve hydration which enhances brain function and aids digestion. It’s good for you to start your day with. It’s an advantage if you drink lemon water to get enough vitamins for the day.

Gratitude Journal

It’s one of the best ways to start your day. When you write things down, it helps to shape your day and you avoid wasting a lot of hours. It also helps you to put down some of the ideas you had at night. Sometimes some very good ideas and great thoughts come to my mind at midnight, and journaling early in the morning helps me to remember everything. It’s because the brain is still fresh and easy to bring them back to your memory.

It’s a great way to avoid stress and anxiety during the day. It helps you to make room for any other issue that may pump up accidentally during the course of the day.

It’s good to take some time to write down your thoughts before starting your day. If you haven’t done it before, why not give it a trial? It helps me to avoid being nervous even during my school days.

Take a few minutes to think

You can’t take a few minutes in the morning to relax, wind down and do some deep thinking if you won’t be productive. When you do this, it helps you to really plan your day ahead.

Prioritize your day

It will make your day productive if you prioritize your work schedule in order of priority. Take yourself from being personal to a professional by devoting time every morning to evaluate and plan your daily work in order of importance. This helps you not to waste time on things that are of less value.

Don’t sleep too much

It’s important that before we start our days with tasks like those above and more. There is an allotted time for sleep which should not exceed eight hours per night on average according to Psychology Today. This will leave the room during these precious slots of downtime when they’re available throughout any given week or month. Think about what types of activities might fill them up so as not to have “dead space” during periods without events happening around.

Wake up earlier than usual and take some time for yourself. Go for a walk, meditate, or just enjoy a cup of coffee in silence. This time is all about YOU and setting you on the right part to make your day a productive one.
